Burst line

Hi all

For one client, I had to make an exploded view of a set. So far, no problem.

Then, on the drawing, I displayed my exploded view to make the editing clearer.

But I haven't found a way  to set the burst lines apart by drawing them manually, which is not very practical.

Even with the help of Solidworks, he notes that you have to make a 3D sketch in the whole and draw the lines.

Is there a simpler and more accurate way for burst lines?

Thank you all in advance.

Not to my knowledge, unfortunately, since you have to indicate the directions, the connections, etc...

Hello;

I hope this link will be useful to you.

I think this is the answer to your problem.

Keep me informed.

Cédric.

Alternatively, if you have a Solidworks Composer license,

The latter handles this kind of case very well for technical documentation.

Hi @ jruffieux

no choice, you have to draw the lines manually

yet I think it shouldn't be very complicated that this is managed in a car

by moving the part a line would form in auto like a sketch line

 @cedric

The link explains the burst lines, the principle what, not the way of proceeding automatically.

For me, it's not possible yet.

@ Cédric Bréban,

The link you gave me is the same as when I searched.

It just says that we have to make a 3D sketch and draw the strokes ourselves.

Unfortunately, given the complexity of the part and the positioning once exploded, this is terribly complicated to do.

@gt22 and José-accessa:

Indeed, obviously no choice to do by car.

And no, it doesn't have to be very complicated because I remember that on Solid Edge, it was done the easiest in the world.

It's even weird that it hasn't been released yet...

Hello

The only correct answer is the one made by fthomas. You have to use the function provided for this purpose, then it is possible or not to make it appear.

Kind regards

I confirm the answer of fthomas and jmsavoyat, that's how I also proceed (while waiting for an automatic solution)

Ok, well thank you all.

The next time I have a SW collaborator, I'll ask them the question.+

Indeed, with Thomas' function, you just have to create the exploded part and then, still in the 3D, click on the "Sketch with exploded line" icon, click on the exploded 3D components and the explode lines are done by themselves.

We move on to the drawing, the burst lines appear
