Hello everyone, Currently I am working on a general plan, the D WG building, but this one is way too heavy for SolidWorks I would like to modify it but I don't have AutoCAD, Does anyone know of a free software that allows you to modify a D WG file easily?
Hello
I use SolidEdge 2D, free download and use.
I mainly use it to "explode" DWGs when they contain several pages (which SW doesn't see!).
I've never really drawn with it.
Have a nice day.
Hello
there's the free version of NanoCAD. We can already do a lot of things with it.
Great thank you for your answers, so I'm going to turn to nanoCAD
I still use DWGeditor which was delivered with SW until the 2009 version, closer to autocad, while Draftsight I don't like it at all.
The only drawback is to go through a version converter if the source files are beyond 2009.
Hello
Just the same as @FUZ3D but I also use DWGtrueview (to convert recent autocad files into something that can be worked with DWGeditor).
In the end it's 100% free.
For the conversion I go through this site:
Thank you for your answers, but not having SW2009 (I have 2023) I don't have this software, and nanocad can't open my file, because it's too large, so I turned to Solidedge 2D
Thanks once again to Dassaut who are no longer bothered to include a Drafsight license for SW users. (since about 2019)
Forced to pay extra for this software that we use more for reading than anything else bothers me, but I have no choice because you have to redo some 2d implementation from time to time.
For your information, for those who just need to read, there is also Trueview (autodesk viewer).
after use, I recommend solidedge 2D which is free
