Mesh (STL, OBJ) in Solidworks

Hello

I often use solidworks to make a mesh (STl, OBJ) before sending it to Autodesk MAYA.

When I convert a part (SLDPRT) to a mesh file (STL). My mesh is random, I can't choose to create polygons of identical sizes, in the same direction or whatever... This is a problem for my calculations with the software I use afterwards.

I may have missed something, an option to check at check-in? A function? Or is it simply not possible?

Thank you

Guillaume

In solidworks you can adjust the quality of the export and therefore the number of polygons but that' s about everything.

When you do, file, saved as, select the STL type and an option button appeared, the settings are there

Yes, I know this option but it doesn't solve my problem. I think, as you said, that this is the only possible adjustment.

Thank you for the answer.

Hello

If you have a way to go through Creo there are more options (polygon size, angles, format)

Hello

For the realization of calculations according to DASAULT system recommends:

A 0.2 arrow and a 5mm pitch allow you to have the least defect.
