Update Epdm 2014

Hello

We just did our Solidworks update, from 2013 to 2014 SP2.

We would also like to pass our EPDM in 2014.

However, there is no way to find the update procedure online (as with Solidworks under "Check for updates").

Any idea?

Thank you

It's finally good, I followed the tutorial of Mickael CORDERO present on the forum (whom I thank by the way)!

Case closed:)

EDIT: Actually no, it's for Workgroup, not for Enterprise...

Hello

I imagine you had already seen the official PDF?

http://files.solidworks.com/Supportfiles/PDMWorks_Ent_Installation/2014/French/Installation%20Guide.pdf

Or help with the update?

http://help.solidworks.com/2014/English/EnterprisePDM/SWHelp_List.html?id=4fba2939f11a4053bbbdf82cc046b89b#Pg0

And finally, three links that explain the update and recommendations to follow:

In the case of EPDM, you have to download the DVD image from the Solidworks website https://www.solidworks.com/sw/support/downloads.htm , for that you obviously need to have an account on the Solidworks customer portal.

Then, when you have unzipped the file, downloaded and run the AutoRun, you will be able to access the PDFs explaining how to update.

Personally, I wouldn't recommend that you go into updating EPDM on your own... The best thing to do is to call on a consultant.

But first of all, remember to make a backup of the sql database BUT also of the archive folder!! Otherwise, in case of a problem, you will lose all your files...

The EPDM update is quite long, so count on a day's work, it is divided into several steps, updating the database server, updating the SQL database, updating the archive server, updating the clients...

Hello

Did you have any problems during these updates? Because Axemble recommends to ALWAYS do the EPDM update, before that of SW!!

As we will also soon be doing the updates, I would like to know if you had any problems or not.

Obviously it's preferable yes, but I'm  waiting for axemble's answer on this subject (I got the hotmline yesterday, the answer should not be long...).

On the other hand, I had already launched the installations and since yesterday, no problem!

Links are preserved, macros always work smoothly, and so does the archiving system.

There are always precautions to be taken in IT, just in case. It's still "just in case" so most of the time it goes well but when it's the other way around, it's less nice...
