Hello
I have a room with 2 different bodies.
I would like to recover the weight on one and the volume on the other, do you know of a method other than the list of welded parts?
Thank you in advance.
Kind regards.

Hello
Simply select the desired body one by one, in the construction tree, and use the Mass Property function.
First => select the body with the mass to be calculated => use the Mass Property function.
Deselect the body.
Second=> select the body with the volume to be calculated => use the Mass Property function.
Hello
otherwise you can add 2 configurations for both parts and use the delete/keep body function to have only the desired body in the configuration...
The question is about import-export neutral format?
IF this multibody part (2 bodies) is well made via solidworks
and that these bodies are full
and if these bodies have their own matter,
As said @Azrod just select the 1/1 bodies
@ azrod you have to read you again there is a typo in the last sentence ;-)
@gt22 I don't eat oysters though.
No I don't see my lantère please? :o
@ samos want in a multibody
and you say => use the Mass Property function. in both cases
not knowing which of+ is if they are solid or hollow bodies ;-)

@gt22 I always wanted to be an astronaut. I'm making plans on the comet ;-)
But it's true that it may be a hollowed-out room or something else. But when in doubt, I took everything in simple volumes (two mold impressions for example).
Thank you all.
However I think I put the explained one, in fact I want to put his information in his property to then find this info (and yes again this info story) in the custom property pane.
@ ac cobra 427 I tesé and it works but you have to switch from one config to another to see the not very partial info.
You can create two new lines in your custom properties of the configuration with the 2 bodies "weight piece 1 and volume piece 2" for example and copy the text value/expression properties "sw-masse@.... " and paste them into the ones you created.
@ ac cobra 427 I tried but it wasn't conclusive, I tried so much that I can't tell you why.
Because of course I have to be able to put the volume body in a state of deletion when I insert the part into an assembly.
Not easy.
What is your real need??? because there you can put in the assembly the configuration you want with the weight or the volume... And otherwise you can make an assembly of your part with the 2 configurations and then you can really have both properties as they will be two different parts... You want to retrieve this data in a nomenclature or in custom properties...
Everything would be simpler if it were two separate rooms. Not possible in your case ?
@ ac cobra 427 my part is an elliptical background that I set through the custom properties pane, and I would like to find on this panel its weight and its interior volume in info.
I am attaching what I have already done.
Kind regards.
When you're in the volume config, you have to delete the background so that it's just right and for that you have to do it in the creation tree then list of soldered parts then you deploy the 1st folder and there you have revolution3. Right-click on it and there you can do Delete/Keep Body or revolution3 function; is in from Solidworks 2015 otherwise you will have to find another way to remove the and there your correct volume. Then you go to the specific properties of the configuration and you copy the volume line and you paste it into the custom properties. There you will have your volume which will normally follow in the background with the configurations...
To remove the background in the volume configuration, edit in the creation tree the volume function and merge the result, then make a sketch on the face plane and convert the sketch of the revolution3 function and do a material removal with revolution, and there you will only be left with the volume in the volume configuration...
@ac cobra 427 Oh yes the last solution seems not bad to me, I'll test it as soon as possible.
Thank you
Hello
Just to say that I didn't give the best answer because it doesn't correspond at all to my weird problem.
Have a nice day.
All you have to do is send an email to @clementine and explain the problem
and because of its function it should make this repair
@+ have a good day
@ ac cobra 427 well I ended up doing two configs and managing the display of the data according to the config I would have preferred to have everything on one, but hey I have to move forward thank you for your help.
It goes without saying that I would have chosen you as the best answer, I don't know why another one was elected, at least it's not me.
Kind regards.
Yep, not understood either.
My little points will go back to their owner sniff:p
