Hello everyone,
I still have a question about the drawings.
I make plans that have several folios, on each folio the material is generally different.
I use 3 different materials.
I wish I could select them from a drop-down list with the custom property form.
Only with this method the material changes on all the folios.
One solution would be to create a custom material property for each folio like this:
- MAT_F1
- MAT_F2
Only I end up with a form with 10 drop-down lists (10 folios..)
Anyone have an idea?
Thank you all! Have a nice day!

Hello
Are the pieces different on each folio?
Are they at least different configurations?
It is then possible to configure the material for each configuration and that it is displayed on the right folio!

To display different properties on each folio (or sheet), go to the sheet properties (right-click on the tab) and choose at the bottom "Show properties for..." " see attached image.

Quick question: You go through "Configure the material" (see image)

These are small piping assemblies.
I could provide information on the material in the assembly of these small pipes.
But on the other hand I sometimes add 2 different pipes (with different material) on the same folio.

This will use all of the custom properties of the room in the select view.
So I risk losing other info in my cartridge, right?

if you have created your pipes since they are pipes (you go through piping)?
via a pipe/material library
and that in this library you have your sections and your materials that are linked
when you make a part plan with the bill of materials attached
you find your different materials as well as the markings on these said parts NO
@+ ;-((
I don't have the rooting module.
I create the pipes in hard, with configurations (designation of the pipework) and under configuration for diameters and lengths.
I have one TUBE file per system.

You can try, but I think it only takes the custom properties of the configuration if it is filled in, otherwise it takes the part properties.

I'll see, but it often happens to have several assemblies on the same FOLIO.
Otherwise it's going to be macro with drop-down list and I'd only apply to the current folio. In fact, why a drop-down list? This is to have absolutely the same value on all our plans (Update / min - AISI code ect).
It also avoids typing it by hand and wasting time too...
I could also make a list of the titles of the folios and display the material that is in the title block next to it (in order to check all my folios at a glance) and that in the same macro.

So I'm still going to make several custom properties (one for each folio), but the macro will have to detect which folio I'm on.

So for your macro, you'll need to retrieve the name of the leaf with this instruction:
http://help.solidworks.com/2012/English/api/sldworksapi/Get_Sheet_Numbers_and_Names_Example_VB.htm
Then change the properties of this configuration:
http://help.solidworks.com/2012/English/api/sldworksapi/Change_Configuration_Properties_Example_VB.htm
Then change the material:

and in your file tube by system you can't add material refs to it

ask your boss to take out his money holder ;-))
and show him the routing or a premium SW version
all this is done via 3D sketches and profiles them via a library
See this tutorial Piping library

I'm thinking about routing. I'll try to get a trial version!
Ideally, you should be able to:
- Be able to have the total length of piping, and by material.
- Be able to have weld lengths (tube end welds)
- Be able to draw tubes and have your elbows on them automatically
- Be able to place taps by sliding down (with parametric height) or other
That's already not bad! If someone tells me that this is possible, I risk talking about it;)

It's the tool that's completely made for that
Have you looked at the tutorial above
you draw your 3D sketch and add what you want, elbow from the store, flange, valves, etc
you put your elbows and other via a deposit on your 3D sketch and you orient it as you wish
then you have your quantities per dia, by material to be made, to buy and all the rest
You can also cost it via costing
whatever more you want ;-)
both for rigid and flexible (elec wire) for the tubes and the material
You choose via your library that you previously set up
For commercial devices, it is possible to retrieve via trace share among other things the volumes and integrate them into a library
I'm a SW salesman and only get dal ;-))

I don't know if you can buy Solidworks Rooting on your own?
I have a Pro 2013 version.

it's integrated into the premium
but contact your dealer or a competitor and he will tell you the why and how
request HERE
http://www.lynkoa.com/store/fr/solidworks-routing.html
and request a quote via the website
and you're going to earn points and given the times that are running a point is a point ;-))
