Error message when creating a component

Hi all!

I have a small problem, when I want to create a smart component the property manager shows me a message saying:

"A part containing library functions cannot be registered as a library function part"

The strangest thing is that I did it in the same assembly for another component and everything worked normally... (On the other hand, on the first one that worked, I couldn't insert it into another assembly with its smart function)

Thank you for clarifying my grey areas!

Yours to you cartoonists.

From what I understand, the smart component is itself composed of other smart components, right?

Can you attach it to the post so we can watch? or is it confidential?

Yes, unfortunately I am working on a confidential project, so I cannot provide tangible support for my problem.

No, that's not it :/  I first insert my (initially non-smart) component into my ASM and then make it smart with "Create a smart component":

- by selecting it

- by selecting a component (or not)

- by selecting the smart function that you want to associate with it (the purpose of an intelligent component)

After which I validate the operation in the "smart component" property manager, and give me an error message that I don't understand at all:

- "A part containing library functions cannot be registered as a library function part."

There you have it, I hope I have been clear enough, I am really annoyed knowing that the operation worked on a 3.5mm jack female component. The component with which I try to repeat the operation is a potentiometer with a thread to make the case and the electronic board solid.
