Error message on SketchUp

Hello

I recently installed the latest version of SketchUp Make (so the free one) on a new Windows 8 computer.

But I very regularly get an error message that is displayed while using it "Unable to update the evaluation duration" (see attachment)

Have you ever encountered this problem and do you have a solution?

Thank you

Hi @ CAD News

you say I installed the latest version of Sketchup on a new computer

did you put your computer on a correct date

it looks like a misunderstanding of the date between the PC and the app

From what I understand, you have to refresh after 8 hours of operation

See this page

http://sketchup-make.softonic.fr/

Notes

This version is free for the first eight hours of use, but then becomes paid. In order to download the full version, the user must fill out a download form on the author's website.

Hello

Does it block you or can you continue working?

No, my computer is on the date and time of the day!

I can continue to work but the message keeps popping up!

I only want to use Sketchup, not the PRO version, so it should continue to work for free, right?

Thank you

Hello

In theory, yes.

Did you take the version available on the Google site: http://www.sketchup.com/fr/download

Otherwise, the Pro version is available for 8 hours for free but normally, once the 8 hours are over, the free version takes over...

I still searched and it just seems that Sketchup is trying to rewrite the license file to block the Pro version but can't access it.

Try running Sketchup in Administrator mode to fix the problem.

Good luck

Good evening

Yes @Jose-accessa, that's where I downloaded it!

Launch Sketchup as an administrator? you mean on the Windows session who is an administrator? If so, it's already the case!

Thank you in any case for your answers, but I haven't solved the problem yet!

By right-clicking on the app launch icon, then, "run as administrator".

See attached file.
