xvid SW composer error message

Hello

 

I installed XVID on my windows 8 PC. 

When I try to record a video via SW Composer I get an error message (see attachment). 

Does this speak to you?

Hello, what format are you trying to record a video? xvid? Do you absolutely need this format?

Yes, I have already used this method which is very good but a bit long. I'm looking for a faster method and I've already used the xvid codec but I don't understand why it doesn't work anymore.

Has it already worked on this PC with Windows 8? Have there been any configuration changes?

No, it never worked on this PC. It worked on my old PC

Hello

Same problems following an installation of a codec "xvid" which must have come from dubious origin. I uninstalled and reinstalled this one:

Not making great videos I can't say either if my use is at issue

Thank you Gérald, I managed to install these sharp codecs but I have the same message. 

I don't understand.

The mycadservices hotline solved my problem!

In fact, it's because of the basic video resolution that is not accepted. 

In theory, when you record a video with compose the resolution is 600x400.

This resolution may not be supported by the xvid or shark codec. 

The good news is that you just have to set a higher resolution, which won't be a bad thing :)

It works with most basic resolutions such as 1280x720 or other...
