I work in pipes. As a result, I have a lot of tubes to score.
Often it looks so similar that to make the detail shots, I copy and paste the plan and then I change the references and I readjust what has gone peanut (it makes me think it's almost time for an aperitif!!).
But with copy-paste I often get fooled on the Ø dimension of the tube and its thickness.
On the attached image you can see how I dimension the tube (Ø219,1x20) the part Ø219,1 is a dimension and I add in the dimension by hand the suffix x20 to indicate the thickness.
My question: is there a solution to connect the x20 to the thickness of the tube?
Why not put the rating in the form of a rating, let me explain. Dimension the diameter, rate the thickness, put a note on the diameter and click on the Ø x thickness dimension.
Just a clarification, the note is not a copy paste of the sides, these are the dimensions. So if I change the 3D, the dimensions (the note) follow. So there is no risk of forgetting to change a value.
The only problem is that going through notes (I already do this for the detail views of the ends of the tubes) is not very practical to easily and quickly position the information.
I would have liked to put this info directly on the rating. But it seems that this is not yet possible.
