Hello, in a modeling how to ensure an exhaustive update of the equations for an assembly and its parts?
currently I can update them by " trial and error " by opening and closing parts and equation management windows;
Thank you
Hello
What type of equation? Relating to assembly or positioning, drilling, dim parts, ...
If you want to make an update, it's because you've changed data.
One (ctrl + q) doesn't satisfy you?
Hello
My problem concerns the equations relating to the links between assembly and parts,
example:
- Dimension of a part driven by an equation parameter entered in the equation manager of the assembly (and vice versa as well), result of equation in the assembly from a part dimension.
ctrl Q or ctrl B do not regenerate all the equations in the system.
I work with configurations for: equations, assemblies and parts.
My entire project is on the same directory.
Note: Some alerts of potential circular references (beige color) which do not prevent a priori the operation.
a renaming problem appears: the names contained in the parameter formulas at the equation manager level do not follow the names of renamed files (even when using SolidWorks rename).
Maybe there is a different way to work a model than with equations, when the project is a multi-level assembly of subassemblies and configurations?
Thank you
don't you have identical parameter names that could encourage Solidworks not to know where to point?
yes identical names but in different parts and assemblies, like:
" R elbow out " or " R elbow in "
but in this case when they are used they have their own suffix:
" R elbow out "=" R elbow out "@Ass-exchanger-02.Assembly"
Thank you for the proposal
As a reminder; … Because it's not just CTRL+Q...
thank you for this table that I had forgotten
But after a quick test:
I changed the value of a parameter located in the general assembly
Ctrl shift Q and ctrl shift B
and despite everything I have to open (in the context) the subset (which is in red) so that my model regenerates (more or less) because I still have a few alerts (red/green light))
Note: These alerts are for sensors
However, an alert located in a room at the end of the tree remains unexplained
