Drawing Model

Hello

I was wondering if it was possible to keep a section in a drawing template?

In addition, I wanted to know if the ribs could be put on automatically? Without clicking on the "Template Object" tool

Each time he tells me the following message (see PJ)

doc1.docx

To keep a cup?

What does that mean?

That the coupe remains if the model changes dimensions?

If that's the case, just constrain your cut on your part in your mep so that it moves at the same time as your part.

To do this, right-click on the cut mark, and click on edit the crop mark.

After you can make mep with predefined views but for the sides, I don't think I can do them automatically completely, you have to click at some point.

Why do you want to go through the templates? (and yes me again! ;-) )

If it's a recurring need, make a room with its layout (which you place in a specific folder and read-only) and when you need it, open it and make a take-home composition of the room and its drawing. This will make a copy without reference problems!

Look at these tutorials for the drawings and dimensions

Hello

I wanted to create a template because I find it very simple to use.

The problem is that the dimensions do not set automatically, (you have to select "model object")

And the cuts are abolished.

Benoit.LF could you explain to me how to do it with "take-away composition" it could interest me but I don't understand your approach.

Thank you

For take-away composition:

  • Open your "template" part (sldprt)
  • File/Composition to take with you
  • Check the "Include drawings" option, a line is added for the drawing (if it is stored in the same folder as the part
  • You can rename the files directly by double-clicking in the "Save as name" column of each file.
  • You can specify a new folder for where to copy files
  • Click on "Save"

There you go!
