You can play with SW events but the macro must be launched before opening the file.
Another option is to open the file via the macro (you can then intercept the path to the open file).
Macros can replace a lot of things but as I said, creating a path from scratch is not possible (all you can do is what any application does, which is to know that the file is not saved and to offer a record folder selection interface)
