Mycad smartboom

Hi all

I take the liberty of asking for a manip that to this day I lack,

I use MyCAD  utilities and my logic being that once my assembly, parts in welded constructions, sheet metal and screws, I launch Smart Boom which generates bills of materials with a renaming and creation of bills of materials (but for me it corresponds more to lists of preparations, screws, assembly etc )

My problem is to match the numbers of the BOM with my assembly  parts so rename the files and assembly  then once this operation is done,  launch Cutting Optimization and sheet metal  and by the fact of matching  the registration of the BOM.

Only to this day a manipulation escapes me because I can't manage to carry out this renaming of parts and assembly  so to find my numbers in the cutting or sheet metal report.

Thank you for your answers because I've been looking for a long time.

Hello

You can't retrieve the numbers from your nomenclature to use them in another tool to perform a renaming.

However, it can be circumvented by using a different methodology and several tools.

First, it is possible to generate the bill of materials from SmartBom and export it as an Excel file.

Then use the Integration tool to create a "Bill Number" property based on the Excel file (https://help.visiativ.com/mycadtools/2022/fr/Integration90.html) and thus apply the corresponding value according to the file.

Once the property has been created on the files, it is possible to retrieve it on the SheetMetalManufacturing and CuttingOptimization tools.
