I don't believe that the Solidworks editor can move a property from a drawing to a part or assembly. This needs to be checked... (We don't use this editor at home*) However, if your drawings have the same file name as your parts (and even better if they are also in the same directory) it should be possible to create a macro to " flip up " the value of the Review property.
- Our design office uses Visiativ tools (SmartBom), to collect a nomenclature of drawings only, with their revision index. And *Smartproperties to create/manage our properties.
We have put the revision in the part model (custom properties of the part) and in the drawing we have a table of revisions at the top right and in this way we can retrieve the revisions in the BOM (we have added a column that searches for the revision in the part)
I confirm what says @Maclane it is not possible to reassemble the drawing properties to the model (PRT or ASM) natively. However, there is a function in " SmartProperties " : " Property creation on the linked document" but I never used it.
For my part, I proceed like @ac cobra 427 with the revisions in the model, but the revision table is managed by EPDM with the old technique that dates back to before the integration of the " revision table" tool in SolidWorks
HS: How lucky are you to do little drawing, for me it represents more than 50% of SW's time all so that no one reads them.
