Name of some states unfolded in duplicate

Hello

In the " Unfolded state" section, I have some that have the same name and that misuse the sheet metal function. I tried to manually rename these " Unfolded State" but as soon as it changes it to one, it follows to the other " Unfolded State".

Illustration of the problem:

I know in advance that the " Symmetric Components" are not the source of error because on a similar file I don't have an error.

Bodies with the same unfolded state name have no relationship with each other. They are of different shapes.

Thank you in advance

Hello v.vidal,
Would it be possible to have the 3D model that I can look at, I'm in SW2022SP4.

Hello A.R,

Here is the 3D:

Hello again v.vidal,
I just found the error but I can't understand it too. It was simply necessary to do away with sheet metal work. and I rebuild without error. I don't always understand.
So what you have to do is to avoid symmetries as much as possible, moreover the parts you ask for this unfolded, it's not possible in unfolding for example everything that is flat without folding, plate, etc...
So hoping to have helped.

I can't remove sheet metal 70. In addition, as soon as a sheet metal body is created, an unfolded state is automatically created as well.

hello @A.R

The way @v.vidal works is interesting but doing everything in a PART file must still have other problems for the throughput it seems to me and for machining each part separately from the assembly, especially because of sheet metal parts

Small remark: the fact of deleting "sheet metal work 70" puts the swarm in "bent base sheet2"
Note that I haven't looked at your modified  file that should solve the problem.

I must be too old! But for me there is no sheet metal except the 100 x 5 flat. The interest of welded construction and starting from several sketches to obtain the mechanically welded product more quickly.
The addition of sheet metal seems a little anachronistic to me

Kind regards

Hello v.vidal,
Delete the parts list before and check that it does not appear in your configurations, to remove " Tôlerie70 ". If not, take back the file I sent you. Or redraw there entirely step by step and you'll find what's wrong, it's my procedure to get there and try to understand something, the ol, and without making symmetry, if it's possible...

I just did the test again, simply by deleting the list of welded parts from each configuration, the " sheet metal70 ", erases itself... There you go.

Hello Zozo_mp,
No problem for the flow, you use the welded parts list, and you can extract a bill of materials, well I don't have time to do everything in detail...
There you go, Hi and good afternoon.

Unfortunately, I can't open your part file, I'm on Solidworks 2017.

Hello @Zozo_mp,

I draw in the following way:

  • A part with several welded bodies: a file part.
  • Several parts bolted together: a Part by Part file - an Assembly file grouping all the bolted parts.

This is not a problem for manufacturing. The sheets are usually made by laser cutting and the profiles are simply cut. Then comes the assembly of all the bodies by welding.

I therefore agree with @A.R. on this point.

OK so go to the list of welded parts and delete them one by one in each configuration and you will see that the "sheet metal70" will erase itself. And she's the one who bothers you, I don't know how to explain better because I also don't understand this flaw.
There you go.
Good luck, @+.

I just removed the sheet metal function of the turntable which is causing problems and I redid another one on the old sketch of the turntable and it works perfectly for the moment.

Thank you very much @A.R

You shouldn't have deleted the function, it is automatically deleted by deleting your lists of parts soldered to each configuration
