BOM: Display configurations of the same part separately

Hello

I couldn't find in the Solidworks help how to display on several lines identical configurations of the same parts, currently the same configuration is grouped on a single BOM line with a quantity.

For example I have a part that is configured via a family of parts in different lengths, in my assembly I need to use the same length (e.g. 100mm) several times. Then in the drawing I put bubbles on each part to give it a name (for example S1, S2, S3, S4 and S5).

When I create my Nomenclature in my MEP I manage to create the part "S1" with the configuration "length 100mm" but in quantity of 5 while I would like with 5 lines (of quantity 1) with the configuration "length 100mm"  in order to find S1, S2, S3, S4 & S5 and keep the Nomenclature/Text link of the Balloon

Do you know if it's feasible?

Thank you

Hello

it seems to me that this is not possible and on the other hand in my opinion it would not be logical since it is the same part that is several times in the assembly; You can tinker by making sub-configurations  (S1-S2-S3 ect) of your part and change them one by one in the assembly to have different references.

Good evening

If I'm not saying stupid things, you have to go to the table settings. There are two options to configure, on the one hand the display of configurations (it will display one column per conf) and then the way to group or not under the same article number a part.

If it's a SW base table, it's the "Configurations" and "Grouping room configurations" options in the property manager.

Yes as said before

I find the approach Outside of any logic of the log

if it's the same part with the same refs so the same name

It is logical that in your nomenclature you find only one line

Doing the opposite is in my humble opinion

Non-productive

Cyril, it's true, but here he would like to have the same configuration several times in the assembly with different markings in the nomenclature...

ac cobra, I believe (never tested) that Solidworks allows it with the "Show with the same article number" option unchecked but I have a doubt.

@Cyril: This option allows you to keep a single coordinate system for a component  that changes configuration in the configs of an assembly.

I believe, like  ACCOBRA and GT22, that this is not possible. The principle of a nomenclature is to list the quantities by reference.

Thank you for your answers,

Indeed it is not logical in the principle of nomenclature but in my case it makes sense since it is like a signposted route.

A priori it doesn't exist in solidworks

Thank you and have a good weekend

In this case, it's up to you to rename each piece with a hint

ex:

Base part named type

copy of your part x times

and renamed  the parts in the assembly

type 1 ́type 2 ́type 3 etc....
