Bill of Materials - SolidWorks Document Template

Hi all!

I'm currently trying to improve our document templates for our master plans, but I can't seem to do anything. I have in my document template create a predefined view, and I would like to insert a nomenclature associated with this view, but impossible... SolidWorks doesn't seem to want to do this because the predefined view doesn't point to a model
I find it rather unfortunate, does anyone have any advice or a solution?

Thanks in advance

It is not possible to put a bill of materials in pre-defined.
On the other hand, you can create your anchor point and you just have to insert nomenclature then by selecting a view.

Hello,

SolidWorks does not allow you to insert a predefined view that does not contain a model or model reference.

To resolve this issue, you must add a template or template reference to your predefined view. You can do this by using the context menu or the PropertyManager.

Here is a rich background on the topic of Model/Predefined/Empty/Drawing View PropertyManager - 2022 - SOLIDWORKS Help

Little tip:
You leave an assembly in your MEP model, for example 2 cubes (room1, room2) with a nomenclature hung wherever you want.
When you create a plan you click in the view and then replace the template.
