Routing BOM

Hello everyone,

I have a problem with the Soliworks routing module, I would like to be able to change the name of the files, i.e.:

When creating the routing, solidworks automatically create files such as: "PIPE DN50 - Ø60.3, 5"

I would like to change this name "PIPE DN50 - Ø60.3, 5" to "PIPE DN50 - Ø60.3 - 05".

Anyone have an idea?

Thank you all!

I don't know too much about the Routing module, but if it uses the principle of the welded construction module, this kind of data is stored in the section sketch file. It may be the same, with a "description" property that gives its description and is modifiable.

Hello

I didn't use the routing module too much, but wouldn't it be like for mechanical-welding: there is a folder with the list of parts (or bodies) in the shaft.

You have  to right-click and from this window you can change the name (be careful, there are several tabs, for welded parts it's in the first one I think), I think you're talking about the description (field that you may need to add if it's not already present).

I hope I helped you!

I can do it manually with the properties of the configuration of the generated pipe.

On the other hand, not in automatic.

Thank you!

Edit: answer on wrong question.

To change the default name , you can try going to:

Make a backup first!

\design library\routing\Standard Tubes.xls

And edit the column:

$PRP@Piping Identifier

I think that with this technique the name of the file will be changed, but I would still have

"FILE NAME, 1"

"FILE NAME, 2"
