Nomenclature

Hello

I created a bill of materials on the general assembly of a stairwell composed of mechanically welded parts. I wanted to have a quantity of all the works. I realize that for certain lines, I have something that I can't explain and remedy. Below is the example of a stair railing with the properties of the list of welded parts that I see in the part:

My questions including: Why are my P1 turntables separated? they are nevertheless identical, and on the Property it is indeed indicated a quantity of 3. By the way, why not put the quantity on the column of the same name? While looking for a solution, I had to do something because the next day, by recreating a nomenclature, the P1s are grouped on the same line. Incomprehensible! And the same goes for the 50x10 flats.

Hello cdt,

I'd like to see the design tree and see how you built your welded mechanic.

Because if there are adjustments to the tube or iron, if it's badly selected, he puts the body in a room or luckily in a volume body.

Take this screenshot of the building tree and the bill of materials and I'll look at this and tell you.

Thank you

Re

Yes I see that there is a lot of (adjust/extend), so check that it forms the desired body that it is not understood with another body.

So you'll see when you review your (adjustment/extended), you have the option to keep or not and so on. I can't answer by screenshot because my pc is being processed.

So review this and tell me that, ... Go @+

Good luck.

As far as possible, for this kind of part, in the model tree I try to group the functions by body, even if it means doing some additional functions.

Hello

Even in 2020, the nomenclatures of mechanically welded multibody parts are.

The solution is often to remove and recreate the mechanically welded function, which has the effect of completely recreating the bill of materials (bad luck if you enter information by hand)

I have a hard time understanding you

How does adjusting/extending change the numbering of the sheets?

Agree that the function can change the quantities, I can see it, on my bar but I don't see how it can separate from the sheet metal parts. Below is my nomenclature in detail, the P1s grouped well but the day before I had 2 lines.

Hello cdt,

Indeed the sheet metal separates from the mechanically welded and there I don't know why.

But by taking the adjustments/extensions one by one, and look at the behavior of your nomenclature in your creation tree.

And you will find the cause.

Good luck @+.

Hello again cdt,

If you want me to look at it with a little time, because sorry I have a lot of work at the moment, but as I tell you rework your adjustments/extensions one by one.

So send your file and I'll look as soon as I have a dip like at this moment.

Good luck @+.

Hello again cdt,

I just did a test because I had the same problem, to adjust/extend them yes it can also stutter, but there is also the option "Merged the result" which is precisely to be unchecked, otherwise it's part of another body, so it will be alone ...

Well I took a screenshot to explain, so check that out and tell me...

Keep me informed.

Good luck @+.

Hello

I readjusted/extended them and that changed the parts.  Strangely enough, my descriptions that I linked to odds bleaked, I had to redo the description to reset it.

Thank you in any case I have to be wary of this function which can harm my final nomenclature

Hello CDT,

Thank you for your so it worked??? Pay attention to the "merged result" option.

If I answered the question, I have to close the question lol.
