Nomenclature

Hello

I'm new to the site.
I have a small problem that I can't seem to solve.
I have solidworks pro 2012.
I created a drawing with a bill of materials.
My assembly has several configurations.

For each part of my assembly I create a comment (Featuremanager creation tree - "comment" - "add a comment")
I would like my nomenclature to have a column with these comments.
In these comments I put for example the flow dimensions for a part when it is raw.
I go around in circles and I can't get out of it.
Can you give me some guidance on the subject?
In the meantime I wish you a pleasant evening

Christian

Hi @ jeanartemis

The nomenclature tutorial

http://www.lynkoa.com/tutos/3d/creer-une-nomenclature-d-assemblage-sous-solidworks

Didn't you allow yourself to see what you  needed?

You also have a form editor tutorial

Default BOMs

When you create a BOM from the default BOM template, bom-standard, the resulting BOM contains four columns: No. ITEM, PART NUMBER, DESCRIPTION and QTY. You can use custom properties to define other BOM columns.

Additional Information:

  • On editing column headers, see SolidWorks Help: Column Properties in BOMs.
  • On changing the format of a cell, row, or column in a BOM, see SolidWorks Help: Table Cells, Rows, and Columns Toolbars.
  • On table templates, see SolidWorks Help: Table Templates and BOM Templates.

@+ ;-)

As far as the tutorial is concerned, I think I understand because I already use it.

On the other hand, as for the custom columns, I thought that the small drop-down menu would offer me a larger choice.

Anyway I didn't know this little drop-down menu, I'll try to juggle with it.

Thank you for lingering on my problem.

Pleasant day to you

Christian

I don't think that these comments can be retrieved in a nomenclature.

Rather than a comment, you should create a custom property in each room.

This property will then be offered to you when inserting a column in the BOM.

Advantage, when you reuse this part in another asm, it will always have its info with it.
