Hi everyone,
I designed an aluminium structure (table) supporting a dead load and checked its resistance to the ground that will be applied to the tabletop.

Question from my client: what normative environment frames this situation?
For me it's EUROCODE 9 (NF EN 1999-1-1/A2) but since we are dealing with a dead load, is a standard necessary? It's + a static study. On the other hand, we are in an industrial environment

Compliance with the Machine Directive at a minimum.
Risk analysis to be expected...

Hello Bidule.

Normally, any structure must be calculated if it is manufactured and it must support a load. When you say dead load, I assume you're talking about its own weight?

But maybe you need to identify or predict what she's capable of with?
