Standard USA SolidWorks Basemap

Hello

I have a problem with the type of projection of views on SolidWroks.

There are several of us who make plans and we therefore have a base plan that can be used by everyone on a server.

When I open a new drawing with the correct basemap, the projection type automatically switches to USA. The problem is that this only happens on my job, my colleagues don't have this problem, the background map opens with the European projection.

I remind you that we open the same basemap on 2 different pcs but we don't have the same thing. Do you have any idea what the problem is?

Thank you.

Hello

You have to see in the settings, tools then option and compare your drawing settings in the general tab.

What you would need instead would be a well-configured drawing template (.drwdot) in common.

The drawing template is on our server, so we changed the file location path in the settings so that everyone uses the same one.

The settings are correct on this drawing because my colleagues don't have any problems. On the other hand, on my PC the settings change while the file is that of the server so the same as the others.

I checked everything, the file location path, the drawing template as well as all the parameters but nothing helps, I don't understand, every time I open this drawing the type of projection comes back to USA.

@Marques4: Be careful, you sometimes talk about a background plan and sometimes about a drawing model. These are 2 different types of files that do not have the same use and do not give the same information to SW.
The templates are drwdot files, the slddrt basemaps. And as PhilippeB rightly said, it is the model that defines the type of projection.
These 2 types of files each have their way into SW's options.

To put it simply, the background plan is the visible part of the model.

Stefbeno yes Exactly, I mixed up but the two files were well configured.

After rechecking I solved my problem, the paths in the default templates had not updated , I had changed everything but it had kept the basic paths. A simple click was enough for everything to be updated and put back on the right tracks.

Maybe a SolidWorks bug! Everything is working well now, thank you everyone.

Have a nice day.
