Notice d'instruction machines speciales

Hi all.

I have a question about writing instruction manuals for special machines, I am calling on your experience in this field.

Do I have to attach the electrical, pneumatic and hydraulic diagrams in the language of the country where the machine is used?

Our technical director tells us NO, but when we read Directive 2006/42/EC, it seems that YES:

1.7.4.2 Contents of the instruction manual (continued). . . .
(d) a general description of the machine;
(e) the plans, diagrams, descriptions and explanations necessary for use,
maintenance and repair of the machine as well as for checking its
efficiency;
(f) a description of the workstation(s) likely to be occupied by
operators;

Thank you for your answers.

Hello

I don't have any guidelines at hand, but for us, it's documents in French for the national and documents in English for the international.

We are in the test bench .

Hello

Having worked in the past in specialized machinery and among other programming PLC and electrical diagrams, we translate them into the customer's language if it is one of the 5 main languages: English, Spanish, German, Russian and French.

But I think that the mandatory minimum when it's not a French-speaking customer is English.

But to do that, we had a database in each software.

Good evening

 It seems to me that the instructions or user manuals must be translated into the language of the recipient country.

On the other hand, it does not seem to me that it is mandatory to translate technical documentation. They must be at least in English if the product is intended for export.

Kind regards.

Not so sure unless it has changed since then.

When we sold machines in China, Japan or Saudi Arabia, we only translated into English. After the advantage with the Morocco and Tunisia was that we were doing English and French ;)

Because the problem is to find someone to translate... No google translate is not a person hihihihi ** Jocke *

FOR INFORMATION.

I have just communicated with a person from the APAVE (CE certification body), you have to provide the electrical, pneumatic and hydraulic diagrams..... in the language of the country where the machine is used.

Have a good day everyone!!
