For me, the most fun thing and that I love is to see a member edit a message in real time!
Hello @Coralie @eliott.metra @fchosson
And if possible by the way, please add a "Macro" (or "API") question category. Thank you.
Hello @Zozo_mp ,
Lynkoa has given way to myCAD! The 2 tabs correspond to the same site and will be attached but by next year...! Many tests are carried out in the meantime,
Regarding the VIP member group, we should soon give you admin access for the cleaning of the tutorials, I will take care of creating the group and will explain all this to you very soon!
Hello @Coralie
Thank you very much for this information.
I'm going to prepare a surprise for you that will be very useful (well I hope) to our colleagues at the MyCADix Forum
Kind regards
A question is bothering me, maybe it has already been asked but I haven't seen it, since it is a forum wouldn't it be interesting to be able to publish ideas, present projects? I've always had the impression that it was impossible because to post a message the tab is called "create a question"
Another small note, I receive a lot of notifications
But I don't know what question it is and if I can be nitpicky, it should be put:
The bestE answer
Yes indeed good remark!!
Hello @DoubleL
It's a good idea, but on the condition that you don't fall into the temptation to make it a separate section.
In the old version there were a bunch of totally inactive groups. Many forums make the same mistake.
(To make a group on the Breton bilboquet polishers in Aquitaine is of modest interest.)
To go your way, just agree that topics can be dealt with directly on the forum provided that they are projects or software related to solidworks or visualize, etc...
Why, simply because by the decreasing interest the lifespan of a subject is limited in time and with the search tool one can come back to a subject related to one's own.
I have already helped (with the agreement of colleagues), but other colleagues too, several times young students on design projects under SW and it did not raise any PB to the community (cardboard tube crushing or twisted staircase design) because it concerned the way to use solidworks. In this sense, someone who asks for advice seems to me to be in the scope of the forum, recent example "connectors, bolts"
Let's wait and see what our colleagues think
Kind regards
Before discovering Lynkoa, I was a member of the Cadware CAD Forum where you could share your projects (designed on SolidWorks of course) and it was quite interesting after that, that's just my opinion. Mainly personal projects or a small presentation of his work. In addition, with the development of 3D printing, it could be projects to be printed that could be shared.
For example, at the time, I had created a post to show the progress of my modeling of the Disneyland Paris castle on SolidWorks. I recently 3D printed it and this kind of file could be shared if people are interested
There should be a committee to validate posts before publication with La belle de CADx at the head of it
Ben! Uh! you were wrong, the validation committee would award the CADx label
MDR
Hello and thank you @Coralie @fchosson @eliott.metra !
There is still the problem of old messages related to macros. If you lack little hands, I am willing to volunteer to sort it out. With the bare minimum of moderation rights to be able to move said messages from their current locations to the Macro category (for example it would be useless for me to be allowed to move a topic to a category other than Macro, so restricting my permissions to import a topic into this category would be enough). Temporarily of course, the time to finish the job.
It probably won't be done in 1 day but I have enough free time to be able to process a rather large volume in each session. Voluntarily, that goes without saying. And then with the new responsiveness of the server, it's much more motivating . On the old one, in addition to being a bore, it would have taken 1000 years!
I propose, the Staff disposes.
Kind regards
Hello @Sylk ,
Thank you for your involvement! We see how to administer the rights to you so that you can sort out the macros!
Coralie
Hello @Coralie @eliott.metra @fchosson
Overall, I quite like the forum , but I find that the amount of options for customizing the interface for the user is far too limited.
I'm not talking about colors but rather about the content displayed/loaded on the pages.
In particular the "Suggested topics" block. I wish I could hide/not load it. Adding a setting in our preferences to choose which optional modules we want to show or hide would be very nice.
I'm talking about display, but I could also talk about the layout of the modules. For example, that we can display a module other than "suggested topics" instead.
Thank you.
Kind regards.
Hello @Sylk , thank you again for your feedback
We are looking at what is possible but normally the customization part is planned. We note your improvements as you go, everything should be done before the end of the year
Hello @Coralie
Two little things to improve
A message that cannot be moved but that hides the elevator that allows you to move quickly through the subject without using the mouse wheel.
In obtaining the famous XP, some are missing in personal data such as
- the number of subscribers
- the number of tutorials (I'm thinking here of @ac_cobra_427 )
Kind regards
Hello @Zozo_mp
Look in the corner of the pink frame there is a grayed out cross, partly hidden by the bold text, to reduce the box.
Hello;
Is it possible to move the " Log out " button on the main page (next to the profile icon)?
for now we will say the " stop " button of Windows... lost under three more clicks...
Kind regards.
