New authentication: Did you manage to log in?

As you have certainly seen this morning, the new authentication method has been implemented! :slight_smile:
Did you manage to connect without any problems?
As a reminder, you must do "forgot your password" in order to reset your account and be able to log in!
If you ever encounter any problems, do not hesitate to contact Visiativ customer service on +33 9 69 322 223 (Monday to Friday from 8:30 am to 12 pm and from 1:30 pm to 5 pm – free call).

Coralie, I suspect but I'm surprised that it didn't force the disconnection of all users.

Fact... and if I had known, I would have abstained! I'm switching from my old 6-character mdp to a complicated 12-character password. It's still a forum and a site for after-sales service (ticket resolution), not sure that there is that sensitive data. But hey, that's how it is

On the other hand, be careful. When entering the validation code, you have to click on "check code" and not on "next" otherwise it doesn't work

Once MFA is in place, how do you manage it afterwards (change the phone number? add another method?)?

I can't find anywhere for this on the MyCAD portal.

Normally on the authenticator app, you just have to export the account to apply it to another.

And as a result, the site no longer remembers the identifier. Are we forced to re-identify ourselves each time?

I have logged out and reconnected 2 times, the connection is automatic and I don't have this whole process to do

@Bob_2000 it's not the process that has to be done every time. It is the identification to the forum that must be filled in again each time you connect (entry of the identifier + MDP). Whereas before, I didn't need to do it

I think he's talking about the fact that he didn't have to use two-factor authentication software.
By the way, @Coralie just for the devs, it would be good to change the Microsoft logo and the text that goes with it because on the next page it is displayed that you can use any application.
Personally, I had Google Authenticator and I downloaded Microsoft Authentificator before realizing that you could use something else (misled by the page of choosing the management mode of the second factor)

I managed to connect, with a bit of difficulty. But it ended up working.

I advise those who don't want to bother memorizing all their passwords to use the Keepass software. It works very well and is recommended by the ANSSI.

No need to memorize a lot of passwords. But you have to memorize the master password, which must be very strong. To make it easier to create a strong and easy-to-remember password, there is the Dicesare method. Below are links that explain this method.

Personally, I created my own dictionary to use this method, with simple words and rather " positive or neutral" (it's relative). You can create your own dictionary with these sources, for example.

Reconnection without problem, on the other hand (because you need a but) in case of inactivity on the site there is an automatic disconnection, it's not very pleasant to have to go through the connection box again.

Yes on my side I was able to reconnect and create a new PW.
But nevertheless, every time I open and close and re-open in the same day, it asks me to confirm my PW, by clicking "continue"... , I think it's for system security reasons...
