Point cloud / underwater 3D imaging

Hello everyone,

It's been a few days that I've been learning a little more about underwater scanning equipment and technologies. The objective is to scan the objects present in a pool and to extract a cloud of points to then make a 3D model of what is present in the pool.

Have you ever done this kind of research or found material for it? I saw that there was photogrammetry, lidar, sonar, etc. But the problem is that the water in the pool is potentially cloudy.

What would you advise me if the water was cloudy or if the water was clear?

Thank you very much.

Luke

Hello, I happen to pass by your subject
It all depends on what makes the water cloudy... algae (vegetable), sediments (based on soil, metals, limestone, etc?
And based on that, what are the technologies that are disrupted by these particles.
But if it's cloudy, it's because the light doesn't get through, so all systems based on a light measurement won't work. For example, a " basic " camera.
Sorry for not having given a clear answer, but the subject is " murky "
