I'm currently in the testing phase with FARO.
I manage to open large pts clouds in E57 format using a free 10j Xtraxt3d plugin from Polyga.
Faro very expensive 50000€.
next test with BLK.

I just tried with Extract3d an E57 file of 4.8gb it's okay it works but I had a 20gb file it didn't pass.

Obtaining xyz or e57 file.
With scanto3D we obtain a point cloud that is unusable as it is. It seems possible to create curve points on points of the 3D cloud to measure for example, but without color, which is difficult to find your way in the cloud. Test during surface transformation, on the file transmitted by the supplier (2.73GB)
With Veesus not managing to open the e57.
With Xtract3D point cloud opening with image, you can create a sketch point on a point in the point cloud for measuring.
