Assembly sequence number

Hello,

I want to assign a sequence number to each of the parts that make up an assembly to define the assembly order and this number must appear in the bill of materials. Because a part A used in multiple assemblies can have a different sequence number, this number must be unique to an assembly. Knowing that I don't want to create a part configuration per assembly, is there an easy way to do it? How are the article numbers assigned in a BOM and can they be changed (without forcing the value in the BOM directly)?

SolidWorks version: 2023 SP5.0

Thank you!

Hello;

It is possible to change the order of the BOM numbering by going through the " Balloons " by choosing " Sequential order":

Be careful to link the view to the " Before " Nomenclature to make the " Sequential " bubble.

Hello,

Thank you for the feedback! So I would have to go through a drawing nomenclature?

Thank you

Yes, it will take a Nomenclature to sequence the bubbles.
The selected view must also be associated with this nomenclature:

Without this, you will not have access to the " Sequential Order" option:

Let's see if after the bubble it is possible to hide the table.

To answer the question about the default numbering of the BOMs, they take the order (Top to Down) of the components of the assembly construction tree...
