Does anyone know a way under CATIA to automatically extract the 3 dimensions of the box that would encompass a part : it corresponds roughly to the cardboard in which the part can fit.
Ideally a link to excel would be perfect.

Hello if you have Core and Cavity (CCV) there is the Manipulation Box command
Thank you Franck but we don't have the Core and Cavity module
The idea is in fact to be able to retrieve the dimensions of the box that Catia generates when measuring the volume: see attached image

OK keep in mind that updating measurements when chgmnt geometry in CATIA is not really that.
On the screenshot you will see a default solution, the dimensions of the bounding box calculated by the measurement tool are the last three values.
By default, the export is done in .txt
You can always associate these values with 2D fields or user parameters exported in Excel
