I'm looking for an easy way to get my Solidworks drawing tab to have the same name as the 3D file without having to fill it out manually.
Example: my Solidworks 3D file is named SWM-002568V.sldprt the tab of my drawing should automatically have the same name without the extension SWM-002568V.
Theoretically, when you make a drawing and save, it names the file with the same name as the first part placed on the sheet. If I understood the request correctly, of course.
I know CTRL-C and then CTRL-V. What I'm looking for is that the "Sheet1" tab of the drawing has the same name as the SWM-002568V file (see attached image) and that it is done automatically.
Yes ronathan, I know that it names the file with the same name as the first part deposited on the sheet, but what I am looking for is the name of sheet1 has the same name as the part deposited and that it is automatic
When you register your part, you do in CTRL-C and then when you do your MEP, you double click on sheet1 and you do the CTRL-V and your 1st tab will have the same name as the room as well as the MEP. That's why I told you about these shortcuts.
Sylk my job is to make a lot of plans for the realization of parts. My 1st sheet must have the name of the file for the 2nd sheet eventual I copy and paste and simply add F2.
Thank you ac cobra 427. I'll test it on Monday I'll tell you if it works
