Orientation with solidworks

Hello.

Following bad handling, I have parts or assemblies that are oriented in space how to restore the image in a normal way.

Thank you for your help.

Position the part or assembly as desired, press the space bar, select Face, and then update the standard views

Position yourself normal to the face you want as a front view.

Press SPACEBAR and then choose update sandard views with the icon of a spotting scope and an arrow.

Update the front view.

If it's a bad move, it may mean that the views were originally well oriented.

In this case, spacebar as Fthomas says. A panel arrives (see attached screenshot).

All you have to do is make a RAZ (see attached screenshot)

To complete Lucas Prieur's answer, you can orient the room as you wish with the help of a trick:

1. A first click on the face of the part that you want to define as a front view,

2. Press the Ctrl key

3. Click on the face of the piece that is defined as the top one.

This 2nd selection allows the front view to be oriented in the desired position

(Not easy to explain; see the attached drawing)

Very good question, I didn't know that you could do this kind of manipulation!

You will tell me that we learn every day.
