I am looking for 3D models of gratings, where can I find them?
Hello
you can try to ask a grating manufacturer (even if I think the answer will be negative), then depending on the model(s) you want I don't think it's difficult to model!!
Back to work
Kind regards

Hello
You can make a representation of a slatted floor:
Afterwards, as Bastien says, you can do one or 2 pieces in linear repetition, but I'm afraid that it will make a heavy piece during regeneration.
So the simplified representation seems a good compromise.

Hello
You have a few here: http://grabcad.com/library?per_page=20&query=grating
or here: http://grabcad.com/library?per_page=20&query=caillebotis
Have a nice day
here among others

after all depends on the model
It regularly happens that you need grating representation on Solidworks, anyone who has been confronted with this will certify it, it can quickly become hell in terms of reconstruction time! Especially since in the event that we do not have to manufacture this grating, a simple visual aspect is sufficient.
There are repeat representations for this, they can be found in the tab Appearance => Miscellaneous => Realview Appearances => Drilling Representation. Double click on it to apply it.
In the property dialog, define the face on which to apply the appearance (only one side is enough, the software generates the repetition on both sides), the gap and the type of distribution of the holes, as well as their shape and size.
The point in the Original Types menu is used to set the location of the first material removal.
Be careful, however, as the warning message indicates, this function requires a professional card as well as the activation of the Realview.
The reconstruction times speak for themselves on a simple 500 by 1000 plate: instantaneous with the representation, more than 7 seconds for the removal of material! Not to mention the graphical heaviness of the model when rotating, due to the large number of edges to be generated.
Hi you can go to the 3d content and/or grabCAD sites, these are part library sites created by suppliers or individuals, I hope it will help you and that you will find what you are looking for!
Kind regards
Nothing could be easier to do, yes, either by oneself or by a representation with an appearance.
Voili voulou....
Gt22 said it all. And it's true that it's quite easy to model, and to set up! Admittedly a bit heavy....
I realized it
