I have a problem on solidworks for opening and creating files. STEP. When I create a STEP, it is impossible to open it even on another computer (see error message).
If I want to open a STEP that comes from trace part or elsewhere I get the same message while the other station has no problem opening the file.

When recording, in the window where you choose the name of your step, below there is the options box.
You have to adjust the step to have volume. check the box with volume.areal geometry
How do you open the WWTP?
Because sometimes the "drag" function in the window does not open the STEP

Thoughtless solution: Retrieve your colleague's SW setting (Start/All Programs/SolidWorks/SolidWorks Tools/Wizard to copy the settings.) and reload it on your computer!

As Bart says, when opening or recording take a good look at the options in the window opening and recording. To make sure the options are displayed, select STEP in the file types because if you stay on all the files you won't have the options.

Have you tried the 2 different steps? AP214 and AP203?
