Open a map without 3D

Hello

I would like to open a solidworks plan (drawing) with view and bill of materials, without having the 3D. Indeed, when it is opened, it does not find the 3D (for good reason, it no longer exists) and updates it anyway. So I find myself with an empty plane (cross view)

Thank you!!

There is an option to check so that when the drawing opens, Sw does not update.

I think this can solve your problem.

In the future, if you want to keep track of the drawings, I advise you to save your meps in another format such as pdf before deleting your part.

What about opening your drawing in Quick View mode?

Or even read-only?

As suggested by Bart, Quick View must work.

Otherwise you can simply open your drawings with eDrawing! You will be able to view but also print. This technique also works for assembly files (sldasm) where you don't have all the 3D references, all the parts.

Hello,

Opening the eDrawing map allows you to consult it.

I went through eDrawing to help out and also just tried in quick preview following your answers, but I need to do some retouching (delete the cartridge etc.) for a fab shipment

In this case, it's a shot that comes from the outside.

Thank you:)

It smells like DIY^^

At worst, open your drawing and modify it via paint with a screen print...

Hello,

Open with edrawing, print as pdf, convert to dxf (inkscape or other), correct with sw or other CAD.

Cheer up!!

Or ask your customer directly for a dxf! You will waste less time!

Unfortunately it's not that simple and especially it's not the first time I've been confronted with it. Under Catia V5 there is no such problem. I deduce that there are no solutions.

Thank you for your help:)
