Hello
Is there a way to open a drawing of an assembly without him taking over write access to the components?
and ideally without having to check the "Open referenced documents in read-only" option because it is too restrictive the rest of the time
Kind regards
A.R

Hello Mad,
For my part this is not possible, I am on w2020 sp4 versions and you?.
The only way is to open according to one of the following choices, by checking before opening.
or =
See your choice based on what exactly you want, in your case, is to open in dressing.
Kind regards.
AR.

And by clicking on the MEP and then opening in read-only?
Normally no access socket on the components.

Hello
It seems to me that if you open in "Light", there is no write access to the components.

Hello
Thank you for your feedback
A.R still unfortunate in SW 2017 for the moment so not these options there
Sbadenis does it meet the demand;)
Rim-b not necessarily easy because it always loads stuff in solved if SW deems necessary :/
stefbeno Also works indeed:)

The difference between the @sbadenis method and mine lies in the possibility of modifying the MEP or not.
