Layout setting & high quality

Hello

When printing a drawing (Ctrl + P) in the "Layout" settings, the "High Quality" box is checked and grayed out (so it can't be unchecked).

Previously, I remember that it was possible to print in high quality or not: impossible to solve this problem.

>>> I should point out that I tried to draw a part, assemble and even print a blank sheet. I tried with 3 printers, always the same thing.

Thank you in advance for your answers.

Sylvain.

Hello

What version of Solidworks does your station run on?

Hello

What is the problem if the print is always in high quality?

Hello

Thank you for your answers.

Solidworks 2016. The problem is that in color and in PDF the rendering is not the same with or without high quality. The contrasts are much high and so is the size of the files.

The lines are finer and the printing time is tripled

Is it the 2016 SP3 version that was released 1 or 2 weeks ago?

Otherwise, you have to update .

I'm in SP1.0 version

I'm trying the update hoping it will fix this problem. I'll keep you informed

If updating your Solidworks doesn't work;

Maybe try to take a look at the PDF options when saving the document,
to find out if it's from the printer or from Soldidworks.

And secondly, to change the high-quality value in your basemap, and save it (if possible).
And to do a test again with the document's default printer.

Hello

SP3.0 update OK but still this problem.

I think I have a clue: the checkbox becomes active again when the display style of the plan part is in shaded image mode. In Hidden Lines or Hidden Lines Deleted mode, the High Quality option is automatically checked and grayed out.

@ Azrod , it's always the same thing, I tried the same settings as you

And leaving high quality but printing with PDFCretor, is it that long?

Hello

It is not necessarily long, but the style of the features changes and so do the colors.

I think it's going to remain a mystery!

Is it the same thing by resetting the SolidWorks settings?

We can go back to our previous configuration, but at least we are fixed if it's a hardware problem, a software bug or a confgiruation:

I tried, this time the box is also grayed out, but unchecked.

There is a bug reported to SolidWorks not resolved under the number:

SPR #:950012
Status: Open
Fixed in: none none
Area: Graphics
Sub-Area: Print, Plot
Customer Impact: Medium
Enhancement: No
Summary: High Quality option in page setup gets grayed out for any printer

You can be notified when it's selected here (you need to be logged in to the customer portal first):

By clicking on the left:

Yes, but notify me when this is fixed. (SPR only)

So sorry, there's no solution!
