Parameters for drawing

Hi all

I would like to know how to set up a model for drawing, i.e. to be able to open a new drawing and have pre-saved parameters by default: centering axes / visible construction lines, arrows for solid dimensions (instead of hollow ones by default), line thickness for plan and printing, layer management, etc. Because every time I create a new drawing, I manage to take a background plan template that I created, but I have to redo all my sheet editing settings, and it's tiring as it is.

If you have any ideas, I'm interested :)

Hello

By saving a drawing that works the way you want it as a template and setting that template in the options, you don't get the result you want?

Hello

as PL says; you make it as you want and then you save it in DRWDOT with the name you want to give it so that you know how to differentiate it from the ones you already have...

The . DRWDOT is for the background, not for the sheet. In addition, I have already tried to change the settings on a . DRWDOT, close it and reopen it, well the settings are gone:(

In fact, the only solution I've found is to create a  template. SLDDRW, and save as a copy to have a new file with the right settings. I find the procedure a bit tedious though, don't I? Couldn't it be simpler?

For example, the right mouse click+move in one direction is set only once, and we don't need to go back to it, that I open a new part/assembly/plan. Why doesn't it work for plans? In fact, we can generically set the system options, but not those of the document? Weird

And if you do everything you want to do, but before you do, you bring up the macro bar and start recording, and then you do everything and as soon as you're done, you stop recording. You will have done the macro and just have to test it...

In this case, maybe you need to create a custom wrapping standard and save your basemap with it ?

I set up a blank background plan then:

- click on "file"

- Click on "Save the basemap"  under another name to be able to differentiate it.

(by placing it in the right place of course)

Hello

I solved my problem by taking a correctly set plan and then saving it under a new reference to create a new plan keeping all the settings. I hope there are simpler solutions, but this one at least works.

Thank you for your contributions which helped me to see more clearly. :)

The best answer is very similar to what I proposed...
