No Mass Properties Dialog - SolidWorks

Hi everyone

I am under SW2015, and I would like to evaluate the mass of an assembly. I open my assembly, I click on "mass properties", but the dialog box doesn't open, there's just the center of mass trihedron that appears. I have already checked that it is not off-screen because it does not appear in the list of windows.

I need your help to put this back in order.

Thanks in advance

Are you sure she's not hidden somewhere?

Because the window is not visible in the taskbar, it does not come in addition to the SolidWorks window.

Hello

If you click Mass Center in the featureManager, nothing happens.

You have to go through the "evaluate" tab and then the mass property icon

Or Tools ==>Evaluate==> mass property

Another precaution is that your part must be an affected material, otherwise you will have the geometric center and not the center of gravity.

Kind regards

Classic (and universal Windows) solution for windows (without the need to fiddle with the registry (answer I had already given in the past in another forum topic).

click on the "Ground" button

Press the ALT key once (on the keyboard)

then press the down arrow of the keyboard 2 times

then press Enter once

then move the window with the keyboard arrows until you find it on the screen

EDIT: instead of moving with the arrows of the keyboard, moving the mouse also moves the window.

for the materials, it's wrong, no need to have a material assigned to evaluate a mass, the DOT part PRT has by default a density of 1:

Hello Olivier42

Thank you           0.001gr/mm^3  or 1000Kg/m ^3  I'm going to drink a shot of water :-)

I should have specified that it was important for the assembly if you have materials of different densities. But that's Off Topic

Kind regards

Hello

If it worked the previous days, try a restart of Solidworks to see if it's just a temporary bug...

Kind regards
