Customize Drilling

Hello Community,

I would like to know if it is possible to create custom holes, I often use holes then the housing of a plug and I add 1/8Gas etc

example: I would like to create a Ø8 borehole length 100m with plug housing + 1/8gas = 3Functions currently

Thank you in advance.

Hello

Yes I think that by using the library functions you should simplify your life. The goal is to create a function that does the machining and to put it in the library to reuse it.

See attached links.

SolidWorks 2017 otherwise?

The name of what you are looking for on this page is: ADVANCED HOLE WIZARD

if it's a suite of functions that you often use

I think the best thing is to create a part that corresponds to your complete drilling

you save it in your personal library and nothing prevents you from creating another room with diff sides ;-)

so this will give you a piece that can be inserted in the right place

and by a Boolean operation

will create a material removal that matches your complex drilling

This technique will allow you to create different pieces via imprinted parts among others

Great it works by going through the library,

and if I want to push the thing even further and tell him to add the 1/4 gas cap in the body in the library function... is it possible I just tried it doesn't work

yes you can push a little further

Hello

otherwise you can create a block and bring it back to the sketch and do a removal of material by revolution whenever you need it; you will of course have to divide your sketch into 2 in relation to your desired result...

If you read my previous answer it's written in black and white

you deserve +1

Absolutely sorry@Gt22

But as usual I write and validate my answer 20 minutes later so inevitably it was bound to happen I delete my previous post .
