Drill press

Hello

I have a problem to solve but I get a little stuck, I have to find a better adjustment and position holding system on a drill press so that the table is easier to maneuver.

I was thinking of going with a jack for the guide of the table but I don't really know how to go about it. Thank you for your help, it will be very useful to me. Feel free to check out the photo of the drill.

First of all, a jack is not made to guide.

You should know:
- What budget?
- How many machines to build?
- How precise is the adjustment?

Yes, I think your subject is much too vague to be dealt with...

Hello

On our drill presses, we have a rack on the mast and a handle with sprocket on the table.

You still have to leave the tightening.

Hello, your drill looks new. Did you clean the column with acetone before mounting it?

If you talked about the table height adjustment and you find it hard, what should I say about my drill... 130kg table...

@Yves T., given the photo and the atmosphere, I would rather lean towards a subject of study!!

Not a machine problem.

Hello

And increasing the length of the crank or a larger handwheel (if possible, to be adapted as a tuning tool) will allow you to force less and thus be more precise (c=rw).
