Customization Solidworks Drill Symbol

A question already addressed by many people but without finding a solution...

Customizing the drill symbols is possible by editing the calloutformat.txt file
But I can't change the characters of the number of occurrences on a piercing:
                   4 x M10 - 6H THROUGH EVERYTHING
         <NUM_INST> x <hw-threaddesc> - 6H <hw-thru>

How do I edit to add parentheses, for example?
                  (4x) M10 - 6H THROUGH EVERYTHING

I'd like to do it in a car, without going through a "style".
There are a few ways with the [JIS] standard, (which I can't seem to apply):
*NO-NUMBER-OF-INSTANCES
JIS-COUNT-DELIMITER=x

Hello

There is no option in solidworks, as far as I know, to put the quantity in brackets.

In the callouformat file, put <NUM_INST> in parentheses  .

I advise you to make a backup of the file.

Hello, thank you for your answer.
Basically, the <NUM_INST> x  does not appear in the calloutformat.
So if I manually add (<NUM_INST>x), it works but I get 4 x (4x) M10 - 6H THROUGH EVERYTHING
In this case, how do you remove the number of occurrences from the default?

Hello

This is probably set in the calloutformat file

See link here .

I don't have solidworks to test.

I tried to act on this parameter but without success...

In the calloutformat, I left only the line: TAP-DRILLTHRU(cstt)= <hw-threaddesc>
and it still displays the quantity in front.
So it's not handled by this txt file...

Hello

Sorry I didn't answer sooner.

I tested on solidworks, for it to work you have to remove the ** in front and behind NO-NUMBER-OF-INSTANCES and add (<NUM_INST>x) to each drilling format

Tell me if it's OK for you?

yannick

Thank you for your feedback, it works!
Small downside when there is only one drilling, so it still displays the (x)
If you ever have a solution

No, there is no solution from what I saw on the solidworks forums
