Bend Loss for Galvanized Steel

Hello

I am looking for a bend loss chart for galvanized steel because the bending manager of my company tells me that it is not the same as for S235 steel. I would like to know if the difference is significant.

Thank you in advance.

In my opinion the difference is not big but possible (the galva is a hot treatment of the steel and therefore modifies its characteristics)

On the other hand, bending hot-dip galvanized steel risks breaking the gava, right? And I don't think that's great.

Unless it is electro-galvanized sheets, in which case the difference in bend loss is almost nil.

Is it in your box that we fold the  sheet metal?

If this is the case, do tests with a 200/100 sheet and bend 100 on one edge

you'll see your loss at the bend

Hello

Thank you for your answers.

Indeed, it's in my box that we bend the metal sheets. Tests were launched to determine the losses.

I will also find out about the nature of the sheets purchased.

Hello

When you contact the manufacturer of your folding machine, you should have access to the tables according to the materials. All you have to do is enter them in TopSolid. If you don't know how to do it, I advise you to get in touch with the agency that manages your sector, they will find a solution.

Have a nice day

Hello. As sbadenis points out very well, bending after the hot galva there is a good chance that the galva will react badly.
