Hello
For a need for traceability of each part, in a drawing, I need to have a bill of materials with each part in quantity 1. Even if my assembly has several identical parts, I must have one line per component in my BOM with a single quantity.
Is this possible? Directly in solidworks, because it seems to me that SmartBoom does it.
Thanks in advance,
Lionel Comte
i.e. if a part is in total quantity n, you need n lines or just one line per component?
In the second case, I think we can hide the quantity column and insert a dummy column (the one with only "1s").
Hello.
For piping and the monitoring of casting numbers, unfortunately you have to either go through a macro that reworks the bill of materials or use component references.
Indeed, by right-clicking -> property --> component reference t, it is possible to add a unique tags that can be retrieved in BOM with the component reference column. If this column is present then two identical components BUT with different component references will appear on two different rows of the BOM. So you can put 1,2,3 etc... in component references. On the other hand, it's tedious, so a macro that increments the component references must be able to be found on the Internet.
