Constraint Driver

Hello

On 2 sets I carried out movement studies with the "constraint pilot" function

Since I can't  open these files, have you had this type of problem?  (see attachment)

Hello

Which version of SW do you have?

There is no reason for a feature to prevent the file from opening. On the other hand, if once opened, drivers of constraint did not work, it would be another matter.

I have never encountered since the 2018 of pb with the "constraint driver" function).

If you want to post your file I'll tell you if it also goes banana in my place, because if it works in my case the problem would be in another direction.

Kind regards

PS: I'm asking about the version number because with the 2019 sp0 I had a lot of problems with the files and especially with the untimely closure of SW which crashed regularly. With SP1 crashes are less frequent, but file semi-locks are frequent, which I never had from 2017 to 2018. Obviously the hot line is totally incompetent to solve or even bring the PB back to the USA.

base.sldprt

Hello

In solidworks

  1. When assembly is open Do ==> File
  2. Composition to take away (or Pack and go) depending on the version you have.
  3.  Only check "save to a ZIP file" on the desktop or elsewhere where you are sure to find it easily.
  4. Return to the forum and below the reply message, select browse
  5. Select the file and validate
  6. It will take a few seconds with an animated GIF (which looks like a peristaltic pump)  and the classic message, that the message is OK

Kind regards

Hello

I manage to open your part named "base" but the zip file is damaged and therefore impossible to open

Kind regards

Hello Pascal

You didn't respect the instructions to send us the files.

If you only send the ASM file it will never work, you have to attach all the parts without exception of the assembly.

So once your ASM file is opened in solidworks and you apply the Pack and Go instruction automatically offers you the ASM plus all the other files.

Pack and go (or take-away comp it's the same thing) maintain the links between all the pieces as if you were on your machine with all the links.

If you follow the procedure then we can surely help you.

Kind regards
