I know this function and I even made a tutorial.
On the other hand, I have a problem because I can't make it work in a rather large assembly, composed of several sub-assemblies, while it works in sub-assemblies.
The overall assembly is less than 100 parts, which is not huge.
Note the ordinary cross-section view works normally so why the interactive section?
Do you have an idea to solve this non-functioning?

Your assembly is not light?
No light food either (even during the holiday season)
but already in the 2011 version it didn't work in the assemblies.

Checking done it works well in individual parts but no longer works in an assembly consisting of two ordinary parts.
It should not be planned to work in an assembly, which is a bit of a mess because in case of collisions in an assembly it would be more practical than the single section view.

Apparently and after consulting my software vendor's hotline, this feature only seems to work for individual parts and not work for assemblies even if they are only composed of two parts.
Well, there is a bastard solution with the cutting plan according to two planes but with limits that I will explain on occasion.
