Task Scheduler and Network Monitor

Hello

I have an assembly on which I carry out several static studies. As I have several cases, I have done several studies depending on the load cases.

I would like to know if it is possible to carry out these studies by going through the task scheduler and by distributing the calculations on several computers of the network.

To do this, I created a scheduled task and at the same time I started the network monitor with my workstation as coordinator and the others as "node computer".

I can run the calculations but I can't get the other pcs of the compute network.

1. Is it possible?

2. If so, do we see an acceleration of the results, currently each study lasts about 25 minutes

3. Is the problem that maybe we should go through "unloaded simulation"?

Thank you for your feedback,

Hello

For this to work well you need to use  "SOLIDWORKS Simulation Worker Agent", but above all you can only do it with  SOLIDWORKS Simulation Premium and for static and nonlinear studies, otherwise you need the PRO version

You need this configuration

  • A computer running SOLIDWORKS Simulation Premium that will serve as a coordinator.
  • A computer with the SOLIDWORKS Simulation Worker Agent installed and active that will serve as a job agent.
  • A network connection between the coordinator and the job agent. (source here )

Look at all the information is there but especially here where everything is very well detailed

Kind regards

Thank you for your feedback,

Indeed I forgot to say that I don't have the Premium version of SW simulation but "only" the PRO version. I had seen the explanation you give but that I can't use.

I don't understand why you say "otherwise you need the PRO version".

Thank you
