Hi all
A question about the structure module on SolidWorks:
On Tekla, it is possible to make a structure and then automatically have the drawings of each element (beams, plates, etc.).
Autodesk Structural Detailing is the same way!
But what about Solidworks? We have to edit plans of each component of the structure to obtain manufacturing plans.
My request mainly concerns the standard features of the software and not the macros or manipulations to be developed in order to achieve this.
Thank you!
[Edit]: Could the smartdrawings add-in of mycadtools be a clue?

Hello
You have to use the view relative to the model and then choose a body:

But indeed, we will be able to have a view of the component, but not automatic drawing.
What we do is create a list of welded parts, to have the reference and length of each body:
http://help.solidworks.com/2013/French/SolidWorks/sldworks/c_Weldment_Cut_Lists_weld.htm
Otherwise, SmartDrawing would be a solution if it manages the different bodies of the mechanically welded.
Edit: SmartDrawings handles mechanically welding well and can even create a special plan different from simple parts, remains to be tested, excerpt from the help:
"The " Welded Constructions " template automatically inserts a table for the list of welded parts."
