Plantage sw 2017

Hello

I recently installed the 2017 version of Solidworks (I waited a bit to be sure to have a stable version)

This version keeps crashing. every time I dimension a drawing or save it. Solidworks crashes and closes.

Have you had this kind of problem?

Hello, I'm not in 2017 yet, but apparently it was worth the wait!  :p

Good luck...

I think you should send an email to the supports if you haven't done so yet...

Do you have interrupted views on your drawing ?

I'm having crashes because of this on my drawings. (SW2017)

Hello

I too have just switched to the 2017 version.  When I open some assemblies of the 2016 version it tells me that there was an error and no way to open solidworks unless I reboot. It seems that the 2017 version is buggy.

Interrupted views, sections, details and all the rest ^^

I'm going to update the graphics card, we'll see.

Thank you!

Hi Bart,

I ask the question anyway; you're on the SP3??? Even if I think you have it but you never know..

Yes, I'm fine in SP3 =)

I just updated the graphics card. I'll let you know if the problem is solved...

In any case I had a technician from Axemble for my problem:

In different versions of Solidworks when I used endpoint processing on interrupted views, Solidworks crashed 3/4 of the time even when switching to the 2017.

He had explained to me that the interrupted view created some stops that were superimposed on others and created a kind of bug on Solidworks.

He told me that the problem would be solved on the SP3 but I think I'll contact him again soon because I still have the same problem but less often what ^^".

His cosil: saved between each weld representation to pick up where I was if Solidworks replanted...

The best thing to do is to do your updates well and otherwise send an email taking a video of your problem via the Rx, this is unfortunately the best advice I can give you if no one finds you a solution...

Good luck!

Thank you @blvck!

I had the same report from Axemble.

They advised me to switch to the 2017...

For the moment, no problems since the update of the graphics card.

I'm waiting a little before closing. Or not..

Hello

I'm not the only one, phew...

On my 2017 SP5 version I also have huge crashes up to 5 times a day!

I realize that the graphics driver recommended by solidworks is older than the one recommended by nvidia, I don't know which one to put it.

I tested both, the recent Nvidia one seems to ocasioner a little less crash but it still crashes.

Which driver would you use?

I have a super corect configuration (32GB of RAM / Nvidia P4000 / Xeon W2145 / 500GB M2 disk for Windows and Prog and 500GB M2 for SW file)

or is it WINDOWS 10 1709?

What would you do?

Thank you for your advice

maybe windaube 10 who puts  the souk

under W7 no major problem to my knowledge

NEWS ALERT: Windows 10 and SOLIDWORKS. Problems observed following the latest OS updates

Windows 10 and SOLIDWORKS no longer mix. Following the latest Microsoft Windows 10 update (since June 10, 2017), many problems have been reported on SOLIDWORKS: invisibility of the display of dimensions, various other major problems, etc...

HOW TO FIX THE PROBLEM BETWEEN MICROSOFT WINDOWS 10 AND SOLIDWORKS?

To fix the problem, you need to do a system restore with the help of your IT department.

DON'T INSTALL THE LATEST WINDOWS 10 UPDATES

If you are using SOLIDWORKS on Windows 10, we recommend that you do not install the latest Windows 10 major updates (updated after June 10, 2017).

This is because they install the 4.7 framework, which is not compatible with SOLIDWORKS.

If this update has been made, it is not possible to remove this Framework.

If you encounter abnormal problems in SOLIDWORKS, only a system restore can be used to roll back.

Our teams have escalated this issue to the publisher and are in the process of exchanging with SOLIDWORKS.

While waiting for a resolution of this problem that is completely beyond the control of our teams, Visiativ strongly recommends that you strengthen the monitoring and supervision of your information systems. Indeed, the failure to install Windows updates and security patches could compromise the security of your information systems.
