Multiple materials on a part file

Is it possible to assign several materials on a part file in order to have the actual mass? Indeed, I have connectors that I import from the manufacturer where the body is made of PBT and the contacts are made of copper. This would allow me to have the total mass of my electronic card.

In principle a part is a component in a single material, with what you want to do, you need to create an assembly and put the right material on your connectors.

It is quite possible:

in the creation tree, you should have the "Body" folder

(if everything is not merged... otherwise we will have to demerge...)

basically in the PRT document, you put a general subject... (the most present)

and on each 3D volume body you assign the material by expanding the "Body" folder then right click on each desired body, and "Material... "

Hello

Another solution is that to get the mass, take the value given in the specs of the component and assign it to a fixed size.

it is better to avoid putting a general matter and at the same time a matter on the volume bodies. Manage your materials either in general when it's homogeneous, or only on volume bodies if there is diversity.
